FTM / Connectivity / Diodes Incorporated — PI3HDX12212 and PI3DPX8112 ReDriver ICs
Diodes Incorporated has added to its linear ReDriver™ IC portfolio, introducing two multi-lane active demultiplexer devices for high-resolution display interfaces.
The four-lane PI3DPX8112 supports signal transmission at a rate of 13.5 Gbits/s, making it ideal for use in DisplayPort™ 2.0 interfaces. It also supports earlier generations of the protocol.
Released at the same time, the four-lane PI3HDX12212 offers 12 Gbits/s performance for handling HDMI 2.1, HDMI 2.0, HDMI 1.2, and HDMI 1.4 data traffic.
Both the PI3HDX12212 and PI3DPX8112 ReDriver ICs feature pin strap-adjustable eight-level receive equalizer settings on each of the two output paths, and four settings for the adjustment of output flat gain and output swing parameters. With these settings, signal integrity can be tuned to match the requirements of various applications. For example, the system can compensate for channel losses, and remove inter-symbol interference to help extend channel reach.
These devices operate from a supply voltage of 3.3 V, lower than competing devices can handle.
