CLASSIFICATION OF CHANGE: Construction Improvement DESCRIPTION OF CHANGE: Eaton has improved the design construction of part number 0603ESDA-MLP7, Polymer ESD Suppressor. The improved package utilizes tin-plated via-less terminals instead of the gold-plated via terminals in the current design. Eaton will offer two versions of the tin-plated via-less design. The 0603ESDA-MLP1 is the commercial grade version and the 0603ESDA-AEC1 is the automotive grade version. Both packages offer improved quality (solderability). REASON FOR CHANGE: Product improvement - Improved quality EXPECTED INFLUENCE ON QUALITY, RELIABILITY, AND PERFORMANCE: There will be no effect on the quality, reliability, or performance. There are no changes to form, fit, and function of the devices. This includes no changes to the pad layout. TIME SCHEDULE: 0603ESDA-MLP1 is available now. 0603ESDA-AEC1 is available March 1, 2022. 0603ESDA-MLP7 will transition to the vialess design effective January 1, 2023.
